Bottom bracket for C-Record 180 mm crankset?Headwind
Jul 23, 2003 1:54 AM
Since my inner leg lenght is 37 inches (94 cm), I'm thinking about switching to a 180 mm crankset. I've got my eye on a second hand C-Record crankset (from 1996/1997, 3000-4000 km), but I'm not sure what what size bottom bracket goes with C-Record. Can somebody help me out here?

Thanks a lot.

As far as I'm aware there's only one size @ 102mm. Part BB-31RECART (English) or BB-33RECART (Italian)
If it's 96-97 the BB is 102mmMR_GRUMPY

If it's 93-94 the BB is 111mm. Does the crank look like the new ones (4 arm) ? If it is 5 arm, it's the old one.
All C records had the same axle lengthboneman

Current Campy production won't fit the C Record crank. Options are used or NOS or Phil Wood. The BRS10 specifically fits the C Record crank. BTW, regardless of year, all C Record cranks had four crank arms with the fifth chain ring bolt going directly into the crank arm, just like todays production.

I've since gone to a 2002 DA crank and Ultegra BB with the crank going on an all C-Record bike with Delta brakes.
