Can someone give me a brief run-down of the relative merits of these rims.

Open Pro: The standard of the industry. On the light side, but not the lightest. Has eyeletted spoke holes for strength. Personal experience with a 32spoke wheel with DB spokes is that it rides really well. Wheelbuilding of course determines more than the individual parts. I road race and crit on this rims and they haven't let me down.

CXP22: I had the CXP21s. The 21's didn't have a welded joint and I think the wheels as a whole were built improperly as I broke alot of spokes on those wheels. I also used cheaper tires on those wheels as they were my training wheels. I noticed a big difference in handling and acceleration going from the CXP21s to the Open pro.

MA3: No person experience, but I've heard they are an excellent touring and training wheel rim.

Agree with above post. Will add that MA3 are very good training wheels. Bag the cxp's and go with openpros
