No the new levers are not black - mostly. The main brake/shift lever is aluminum and is thus silver colored. The upshift lever is now going to be plastic, and most likely black. I think the shadow over the lever gives the impression of the lever being black on the whole.

Those levers are clearly black. If it was just a shadow it wouldn't be so evenly distributed over both levers. Don't know what's up with that though. Custom request maybe?

The bike in question is Christophe Moreau's Look. Here's a shot with the shadow falling on the normally highly polished new 2004 Dura-Ace cranks... they look equally black.... because of the shadow.

Have a look at this image and you can plainly see that the levers on Moreau's bike are aluminum colored.

I'm not claiming I definitely know one or the other, but your pic doesn't prove anything. It's not even the same bike:)
Anyone notice, those D/A wheels look to be tubulars?12x23

Looks like the white basetape on a Conti tubular .. Comp 240, maybe? If so, I didn't realize those wheels were available as tubulars.
Black Cranks as well ! nt.John Ryder
