Lucky Me...(1 post)

Lucky Me...CrazyMan
Jul 15, 2003 4:27 AM
I managed to sell my bike for WAY more than it was worth, so luckily, I've convinced myself that those profits should be immediately poured into 2 new bikes (with some used parts), 1 of which is for my pops. Anyways, here is what I'm planning. Oh, and of course I managed to pay very little for most of this through the evil black and grey markets. Already have many of the parts, but please feel free to warn, criticize, mock, recommend, or agree with:

Dad's Bike (He weighs about 180lbs):
Fondriest Top Level - Large
Mizuno All Carbon Fork
Record Ergos
Chorus RD, FD, Chain, Crankset, Cassette, Brakes
FSA Ti Ultimax BB
ITM Millenium Stem
ITM Millenium Bars
USE Alien Carbon 350mm seatpost (or is he too heavy?)
Keywin Ti pedals
Saddle of his choice

My (Dream) Bike (I weigh about 163 lbs):
2003 Look KG386 - Size 59
Look HSC3 All Carbon Fork
Chris King Threadless Headset
Record Ergos
Chorus Rd, FD, Chain, Cassette
FSA Platinum Ti BB
FSA Pro Team Crankset
Easton Carbon Bars
Some 110mm stem
USE Alien Carbon 270mm post
Keywin Ti Pedals

So, anything?
Oh, and as for the framesets, the Fondriest is pretty cheap with direct sales, and I've heard very good things, and the Look is not badly priced, fits very well, and will be stiffer than my ti bike (sold!). Anyways, thanks for the constructive info...
