|I have an Avocet 45TT that is causing me continued problems. The speed readout will work fine for awhile and then it will zero out for a (usally) brief period. Then it may restart on it's own. Other times the speed display will jump all around from large numbers to small numbers. Sometimes it helps to wiggle the wires going to the transmitter base but not always. I have replaced the wire harness assembly on two occasions, but the behavior of the unit still is the same.
Over the years, Avocet has been good about replacing defective units, but problems seem to plaque me with the 45TT. Am I alone with this problem? Any suggestions on how to fix or a suggestion of another reliable computer would be appreciated.

|I've had the same problem with 45TT's. I returned two to Avocet last year, one went on the blink within a few weeks and the other is doing fine. I have an old Avocet 31 around here somewhere that never gave me problems. If my "good" 45 lets me down I'm going back to it.|| |
