|I have a 2000 Giant TCR 2. It has been flawless until last month. The seatpost has started to creak. It is a Easton carbon post. I have taken it out greased and it's fine for one ride. Then halfway through the second ride it starts to creak. I stood up and there is no noise so I'm pretty sure it's the seatpost and it stops when I take it all apart and regrease. This is a pain in the @$@&!! That clicking sound is driving me insane! Does anyone have any suggestions for a fix?|

|I have a 2001 Giant Team Once w/ an easton seat post also. I no longer grease it because I have a hard enough time keeping it from slipping down w/out grease. I am paranoid about overtighteing and crushing the carbon post. I overtightened a stem which resulted in an easton bar breaking during a ride. I shutter at the tought of the potential for injury. I would love hear some responces to this as well.

|NEVER grease a carbon post..it will cause slippage, breakdown of the carbon, and maybe even creaking too.
p.s. that clicking sound is more likely your seat rails..it stops when u stand b/c u are off the seat..grease the seat not the post
