Help a newbie out...Whats_Real

I used the search but no real help in my bike selctions.
I have just a little knowledge about road bikes. I come from a stong MTB background so I am not a total idiot. But I want to get into the road side of biking and have narrowed my selction of bikes down to a couple.

Kona's Kona

Kona's Delux

Lemond Buenos Aires

I also an looking at the option of buying a frame, probably used and buying a groupo to build it up. Any more suggestions or recomendations would be great! Thanks

I am also considering the Giant OCR 1 or OCR Touring bike.

I have ridden 1000+ miles on OCR1 (2002) and love the compact frame and the components for the cost... Good ride for the money and the frame is familiar to mtn bikers...

I doubt you will save much buying the frame separate. If the steel Lemond will fit then that is going to ride much better than compact aluminum. The Lemond traditionally has a longer top tube than most frames. I would not stop your search yet, and keep looking at other alternatives.
