Weight of Colnago CT1(2 posts)

Weight of Colnago CT1Mink

Anyone actually weigh a CT1 frameset with "old-style" straight seat-stays, Flash fork (the wider one), around 53cm C-C? The Colnago website isn't helpful, but a dealer website says it's 1260g - not sure if that includes the fork, or is accurate (I find component weights seldom match those claimed by manufacturers). Thanks.
another gram counter...C-40

Obviously the weight is without fork. In pounds, it converts to 2.8 lbs. I would be surprised if it is really that light. Probably more like 3.0 lbs. The fork weighs more than 1 lb. I've seen weights for the fork ranging from 470 to 600 grams. Somewhere in between is probably accurate.

I wouldn't stress over the weight. A few ounces of frame weight is no different than a few ounces of body weight.
Silly to worry about a few ounces.
