I am going to get a set of Tufo tubulars for my Zipp 404 wheelset. Does anyone have experience/recommendations about which size of Tufo is the best aerodynamic fit on these rims? I'll be getting one of their road race models, not track. Thanks.

tufo's have the highest rolling resistance. try vittoria's. always the standard.

Yeah, you'll lose 10 FEET per mile with the Tufos. Big difference, ain't it. Just remember, you have to finish to win! Flatting's a sure way to get screwed out of a placing.

Vittorias have always flatted too frequently for my tastes. I prefer the Conti Competitions, or Sprinters if I'm not riding Tufos.

I've been riding the S3-Pro tires on my 404s. 190g, 21-ish mm in dia. Nce compromise between all-out light, and durable.

Obviously, YMMV.

The 22 is very slightly wider, but the 19 (or 20?) is a bit narrower. I prefered the 22 for better handling and ride, possibly sacraficing a tiny bit of aero. A 19mm tire pumped up over 140 or so is pretty sketchy in turns.

If you are worried about rolling drag, just pump em up.
