Would a better chain quieten my Campy 8 speed?timwat

I have a sram pc58 chain on my Campy 8 speed now. My drivetrain seems to be pretty noisy/rough on some of the cogs(new cassette). Everything is clean and in perfect adjustment. Would a better chain help my problem? What kind? I'm using White Lightening lube, could this be the problem?

Thanks in advance,
Tim Watson

For years I had run a top of the line SRAM chain on my Campy 9 speed. I was never totally happy with the shifting or the chatter so I recently installed a Campy 9 sp chain and a new cassette. Now the drivetrain purrs and the shifts are crisp and clean. I had always been told the SRAM was compatable but it can't compare with pure Campy. Spend $25 on a Campy chain and you will immediatly see a difference

Same true with Shimano 9spd.pitt83

Damn SRAM chain just never did work well. Always had trouble and was on the barrel adjusters constantly to stop the skipping. Once I went with 100% Shimano, everything was great.
