|Any one using Carnac shoes and Yime Impact pedals? Do I need the "Time" insert for the shoes in order to fit the cleats?|

|The Time impact cleats are designed to be compatible with both the traditional Time four hole drilling, and the ubiquitous Look three hole drilling. The impact cleat is flat to fit best on Time shoes, which have flat soles to suit their pedals. However, Time have designed a clever little shim that hooks into the cleat via the Time drilling holes that is flat on one side to meet the cleat and curved on the other, to meet a traditional curved sole to take the look drilling.
So, while I don't use Carnacs, knowing this I would say that either the look or time insert will be fine. My advice would be to go with the drilling that affords you the lowest stack height.

|For what I've seen most use the Look plate. Having said that, It is possible with minimal cleat removal, for the cleat to fit inside the opening without using any adaptor. Never did it, but hear it can be done.|| |
