|HELP! Broken Spoke...can I ride home?||crestlinefarm|

|I noticed a slight wobble on the way in this morning so I pulled out the trusty spoke wrench to do a little minor adjustment and found on one spoke, the threads are completely stripped on either the spoke or the nipple.
My question is, I've adjusted the wobble out of the wheel, but is it dangerous to ride home? And if it is okay, should I take the spoke completely out since it's serving no purpose?

|You want to replace the spoke as soon as you can, but once you've trued the wheel, you're not going to do any harm to the rim by riding with one spoke missing. (I know you've already gone home, but for future reference.)|

|Made it just fine and the wheel survived. I'll replace the spoke asap.|

|... although if you got the wobble out of the wheel, you don't really need it.
