| Mavic positioning wedge w/ Dura-Ace 9sp? | shrEd Jun 26, 2003 7:41 AM | | I bought some Mavic Cosmic Carbones recently from eBay and I'm building it up w/ a Shimano Dura-Ace 9sp cassette...I just realized last night that I didn't get the Mavic positioning wedge w/ the wheelset and I'm pretty sure I need it...
Can anyone verify that it is indeed required for a Shimano 9sp setup? Also, does anyone out there have an extra positioning wedge from their Mavic wheelset that they are not using and are willing to sell?
Any other workarounds/suggestions welcome...
Thanks in advance,

What is a spacing wedge?

Mavic states that you have to use it with 8 and 9 speed Shimano or M10 cassettes if you have the M9 or M10 hub (I'm assuming only the Carbone SSC Y2K or newer versions). The spacer is also included with Mavic kit M40409. |
| Ok, mine are pre-SSC (nm) | Chen2 Jun 26, 2003 12:32 PM | | |
