|LEMOND 2004 models? Anyone?||globalhelipimp|

|I've been trying to get a Lemond Buenos Aires, but the color for this year is awful! The 2002 model was a sexy red and this years' is a light blue/turquoisish (IMO- if this is wrong, let me know!).
Does anyone know what the 2004 model will look like? I've heard that Lemond has already begun shipping some 2004's. Any pictures?

|I work at a LeMond dealer... we haven't seen the paint scheme for the 2004 Buenos Aires yet.
You can get them custom painted though thru Project One. Just order a Maillot Jaune custom painted with an Ultegra Kit. It's more expensive, but you would have a custom painted frame...not stock.
Also you can order the Maillot Jaune as a frameset only and build it however you want.
The thing is, once your local dealer first gets a 2004 bike, they are not going to move on the price. If it is brand new on the floor and you want it in the first week it's released, that justifies not dropping the price any. So you are most likely going to pay advertised retail for that bike.. you may be able to get the 2003 with a custom paint for the same or near the same price.
By the way, you know there will be absolutely NO CHANGE in Ultegra for 2004 if they are changing Dura-Ace next year. So other than a new paint scheme and a few slightly differing spec'd parts like maybe bar/stem (unlikely since it will still be Bontrager stuff) or different tires... the bikes will be the same for 2004 as they are in 03 except paint scheme.
It's your money, choose wisely.
