Jun 26, 2003 6:53 AM | | Back in the day (the 80's) I used 3M Fastak (sp?) to glue tubulars, and never had any problems.
After almost a decade of riding clinchers only, I picked up some Conti Sprinters (price was too good to pass on), and as soon as I get around to building up a 9 speed rear wheel, I'll be good to go. In discussions of tubular glues here and on other forums, however, I read that some glues dissolve the base tape adhesive used by Continental.
Any experience (good or bad) using Fastak to glue Conti's? |

They also raise the question as to why you wouldn't use a glue formulated specifically for tubulars. Of course, that was a valid question even when Fastak was popular. |
