| re: 40th Birthday present, (caution Italian centrefold inside!) | Cat 3 boy Jun 23, 2003 11:39 PM | | Took me months to talk my wife round to the idea, be patient.
The frame was only £1070 from Parker International, (maybe $1700).
Actually I HAVEN'T wrecked it yet, but I'm riding like a granny, terrified of dropping it, scratching the underside of the pedal when I clip in.....at least I've christened it with plenty of sweat.
Off to Provence for 3 weeks in July/August, should get some real good miles in & hope to race out there too, hey Philippe, where are you I need some contacts :)
More pics in the gallery soon. |

| Bellisimo! | tmguy Jun 24, 2003 5:00 PM | | I bought a Pinarello OPERA (w/Record 10, neutrons, etc.) for my 40th and never looked back! Enjoy! Nice to see no triple! |
| re: Bellisimo! | Cat 3 boy Jun 24, 2003 11:11 PM | | I nearly went Pinarello, but in the UK a De Rosa is even rarer & I love the paintjobs on De Rosas.
What's a triple?!? That would be sacrilege, this is a race bike not a tourer ;) |
