|Thanks for the replies on my cane creek areohead post. I am now leaning towards the Mavic cxp 33 rims. My current wheels are Matrix Aurora. The front weigh 894 grams w/o skewers, and the rears weigh 1466 w/ HG 90 hyperglide 8 spd cassette.
How much weight do I have to save to notice a difference in a new wheelset. I'm a big guy at 240lbs, I ride about 150mi a week, and that includes a weekly group ride. Are there any other wheels that I should compare before I make the plunge.

|and use Open Pro rims laced to American Classic hubs (28 hole front and 36 back). They are light and strong. After 4000 miles I have only trued the rear a couple times and it was minimal. If you build them or have a builder do them (either is highly recommended)make sure to use a tensiometer and dial those babies in. That will be crucial at your stature.|| |
