An outragous F-F-F-French engineering failure. Just look at it, outward pointed rear derailleur mechanism. Just like a something from the chariot race scene from Ben Hur to rip up the hubs of your competitor. Banned the second it hit the market for the pro races. Might work well on something non-standard like a recumbent.

Have you actually tried it, or are you a real "expert"??

I have been using a Mavic Mekronic system on my Calfee now for about a year now. I've had no major
problems. I had one of the shifter levers go bad, but my LBS sent it to the Mavic people back east and
they replaced the whole brake hood free of charge. Great service. The one word of advice: keep the
batteries up. I would suggest replacing them every year. The instruction manual is kind of confusing,
but once you understand them, you should have no problems. The biggest problem is that few people
know how to work on them. Good luck.
Keep the rubber side down!
