Modolo Morphos shifters for 7-spd cassette?ctheronj

This is similar in topic to the recent question about using Ergopower levers for 7-speed.

My aluminum bike has 126mm rear spacing with Shimano 7spd cassette, and I want to upgrade to something like STI shifting. I guess I can't put in new 130mm hubs, but I recently discovered that Performance sells the Modolo Morphos shifter levers which work with pretty much any drivetrain -- does anyone have experience with these?

I've had these levers for two years and haven't really had any problems with them. I use them on an 8sp Ultegra set up. I didn't want to fork up the money for STI and these seemed like the way to go. I got mine from http://www.sjscycles.com and even with shipping from the UK it was cheaper than Performance. I would recommend you ditch the cables and get DA or Aztec cables. The stock cables are extrememly stretchy and probably cause most of the adjustment problems you'll read about. They do take a little getting used to. To shift, it's more of a little pop, rather than the solid click of STIs. For the money, I think they're a great buy.
