I just purchased a frame (2000 cannondale R900) off of ebay to build up and I had a question about bottom bracket sizing. How do i determine what BB spindle length I need for use with a set of Shimano 600 square taper cranks?

I know i'll have to measure the shell width on the frame after I get it, but besides the shell width, is English 113mm correct?

115mm spindle, if I'm remembering correctly. I overhauled a friend's bike last season who's using those cranks and I think it was a 115mm. Quality Bicycle Products lists Shimano UN73 in 68x115mm so go have your LBS order you one if they don't have one in stock. Anyone else out there have a more definitive answer?
115MM is the standardMR_GRUMPY

but you may be able to go smaller. I was able to fit a 107 BB on a bike with 600 cranks, but it was real tight.
113 should work OK.

The official size needed is 113, but I don't think there's a UN72/73 in that size. I had these on a bike for a while and used a 115, and that worked just fine.
