Velocity wheels?(4 posts)

Velocity wheels?Eug

Rear road wheel:

Mavic Open Pro/Ultegra?

Velocity Spartacus from Nashbar?

Velocity Aerohead or Fusion from www.oddsandendos.com (with American Classic Hub)?

Ritchey WCS?

I'm just a casual rider, but I want to take my other wheels and put heavy duty tires on them. I already have an extra front. About $200 is my limit. Preferably cheaper.

I only have experience with the Spartacus wheels. They are very strong and durable. You won't ever have problems with them. They just aren't very light but if you aren't racing them then who really cares? For the money they are a good choice. I weigh 215 lbs and have used them for training for the past year without a problem.
I am thinking Fusion.Eug

Thanks. I'm thinking of the Fusion now. It's a bit lighter. 32-spoke.

It's 18 mm wide and thus is gonna make swapping wheels a pain. My others are 20 mm I think.

(I'm only 155 lb, but I'd consider the 24 spoke version.)

Fusion: $135
