Brooks Swift saddle(3 posts)

Brooks Swift saddleLeroy

I am considering replacing a selle italia slr saddle with a Brooks swift ti. I like the slr, but I have had good results with a Brooks team professional that replaced a flite, and I thought the swift might be an improvement, too. If anyone has some experience with the swift, would it be an improvement over the slr? Do you think an use alien carbon seatpost could handle a swift's weight, or should I go to another post, too? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I recently purchased a Swift and have previously owned an SLR. I personally find the Swift far better as I used to feel the SLR lost its comfort on any rides over an hour.
As for the setpost being able to handle the weight, do you not weigh a few hundered times more than the Swift?
just get a chorus or dura ace seat post.colker

one of the racers in rbrreview, LFR, had her alien break on her... besides, it seems the swift need as much setback as you can get from a post due to a shorter range of rail to use.
i wouldn't gamble on a too light seatpost.
