has someone already tried this saddle and can describe his/hers experiences?
is the saddle more durable than the common slr.

I've been riding the SLR Trans Am saddle without gel for about 8 months now on both my MTB and road bike. The leather is indeed thicker and more durable, with double thick layers around the rear edges. Still quite light as well at around 185g.

I'm also on the SLR Trans Am XP. If you like the SLR shape but want a bit more cush, than this is a great route. I love the saddle, and plan to use my old Flite Gel Ti as fuel for the building furnace. ;-)
