Shimano/Campy Freehub Questions... FIR WheelGoFast
May 7, 2003 10:05 AM
Does anyone make some sort of kit to make a FIR disc wheel (campy freehub) shimano compatible? Can I just stick a campy nine-speed cassette on there and use it with my Ultegra drive train? This is for my TT bike that I'm building up. I haven't yet decided on my shifters... either ultegra STI or Dura Ace nine speed bar-end shifters, if that makes a bit of difference with my cassette/freehub situation. Idealy, I'd like to fit a shimano-compatible freehub on there. Anyone have some answers?

There are a few companies that make a spacer kit so you can still use your Campy cogs, but space them to Shimano derailleur/shifter specs.

Wheels manufacturing is one of them and their kit works very well. I have used it in the past. I can not find it on their webpage, but if my memory is correct you need accelerator kit number 7. Email them this question and they can answer it for you. sales@wheelsmfg.com
