my dia compe brake levers don't fit into them? Will my aero bar shifters fit as well? What brake levers will fit in the ITM CX2 aero bars?

I remember from somewhere(source?) that bar-end shifters won't work with the CX2. If you look at all the Pros using it this year, they all have the regular STI levers installed. The wing section does have holes for the gear cable to go through, and the wing has a big bent that looks almost like a drop bar.

I'm going to be in the same boat you're in. I ordered ITM CX2 bars from Totalcycling, they should get here in a couple days. I have dia compe brakes and Dura Ace bar end shifters I was planning on installing. What kind of shifters were you going to use? If the Dura Ace won't fit please post the info. I'll just send my bars back and get the Profile Carbon X bars. It will be cheaper than buying STI levers. Besides I can't return my shifters or brake levers. Sure wish I'd known about this a few days ago!

Yeah I got my bars from totalcycling. I have the bar end shifters as well. I think they are ultegra. I took them off my old tri bike with the dia compe brakes. I also found that the 2 bars that slide into the aero part, the one slides in and the other is really hard to get in there. I don't think I can put these bars together myself, LBS will have to do it.

I will try put the bar end shifters in tonight. But I did see some footage of a womans TT race and there is a team Telekom? that use these bars and they had bar end shifters.

Maybe we can use those old regular brake levers that don't have the STI?

They sell some cool Campy carbon brake levers that will work. They are not ergo shifters, just brake levers so they cost less than $100. I'm just going to send mine back and get a different set of bars. I think it will be easier in the long run. I saw an ad on RBR classifieds for the Profile Carbon X's for $249 shipped so I may go that route.

I just went home for lunch and tried the shimano bar end shifters, they do not fit. So thats great, the dia compe brakes and shimano shifters dont work with these bars. Doh!
