PLEASE HELP High End Steel Forksigepf94
Apr 30, 2003 6:40 PM
I'm looking to build up a custom steel road bike and would like suggestions as to which fork would be best. I've looked at Waterford, IF, Steelman, Seven, Sycip, Etc. Weight is not that big a factor. I'm really looking for ride quality. PLEASE HELP

Take a look into getting a Colnago straight blade Prescia fork. Otherwise the IF fork is very nice. But I know a few people who swear that the reason mid to late 90's Colnago's rode as nice as they did was because of their forks.

stunning. it may be a headache to get it from the states (their custom frames seem to take ages to arrive) but gorgeous it is. double crown, chrome on a retro design.
having said that, i would buy a steelman sr and forget about it.
a burgundy steelman.

also try Serotta or Strong. The Serotta is nice, although a little pricey.
