Did they change the Vred. Tri-comp sidewall design?Shad

I have Nucleon wheels which as some of you know, can be difficult to mount tires on. Last season I was using Vredestein Fotezza Tri-comps because they were pretty easy to mount. They have the cloth-like sidewall that tends to shed little strings. I bought a new set over the winter and tried to mount them last night, but these have a rubber sidewall and are very difficult to mount. I worked for over three hours and never got them on. They are as difficult as Michelin's to mount and more expensive. The whole reason I bought them was to avoid this problem. Does anyone know what the deal is with the change in design? Are there two types of Tri-comp tires out there? They are all the more expensive $48 Tri-comp model, not the $38 regular Fortezza's.
