I would like to replace my rear brake cable with a stainless steel one (like shift cables use). Does anyone make brake cables using stainless steel??? I want to make this change because in SW Florida, the sweat and salt air are real rust issues for me.

Your shop should be able to get them. They are sold by QBP

While you are at it, pick up some Teflon lined housing. If you replace your cable you are only doing half the job. Teflon housing will last that little bit longer in the salt air.

Any bike shop should have them...we don't buy anything else at our shop.
