|Are Nokon cables any good?
|Just as good as the $15 cables, but very flashy. (nm)||TFerguson|

|I have Nokon cables on my newest bikes. They are clearly stronger and more precise than my other Gore Tex and Dura Ace cables.
But kinda expensive... and oh so beautiful!

|Stronger? Have you ever broken a cable housing?
Precise? I'm not sure what you mean. If you mean that they can bend a little sharper, I would agree but see no benefit.
I also use bulk housing off of a roll and Jaguar cable without problems.
At $40 to do the whole bike, I would recommend giving them a try if they appeal to your tastes. But at $100, no way.
On the beautiful part, when I do road bike night at the velodrome they do look good under the lights.

|Installed them this spring. More of a hassle setting them up than anticipated because the instructions are terrible.
Once installed, the bends are more flexible, and the cables look great.
Braking and shifting is ever so slightly better than standard, theoretically because of the lack of cable flex.
They are not worth the money, but the look is great and if you want a marginal performance improvement, and great looks, I'd but them.
