Who makes Clement Tires?roaddog

Clement tires were the ones to get years ago. At
least that's what I've heard. Where were they made
back then? When did they go out of business? Now
Nashbar has Clement tires available again. Where
are they made now?

I think that they are made by Lyon Tire Co. in S.E. Asia by 12 year old kids who are only beaten once a day.
The same company also makes Vittoria tires.
That explains why.....Alexx

....my last purchase of Vittoria Rally tubulars was so lousy-they must've been made right after the daily beatings!!!
Seriously, I wouldn't touch any of those Asian-made tubulars again!

Vittoria had their corporate HQ in Italy also, but neither company has any production in Italy anymore.
Infact, the old Vittoria factory was sold, and that's where they make the Veloflex tires with the same workers.

Actually the Vittoria CX and the Clement Criterium aren't bad tires. If you look at them you will see that they are the same tire with different labels. Check the tire, they both say "made in Thailand"
If you don't buy those Clements from Nashbar, that 12 year old kid will starve.
