Does anyone know what series the Shimano part number SI3000A (might be SL3000A) relates to? ie Sora, 105, Ultegra, etc... It's probably from the mid 90's.
Thanks!
No idea, but we can probably figure it out...TJeanloz

The part number seems hopelessly vague, but if you give a detailed description of the part, I'm willing to bet that the memories here can tell you exactly what it is.

This site is great for Shimano parts (post 1982). It's in German, but easy enough to use for not German speakers.

My guess.... Shift Lever Exage 300. Light Action, early nineties.

Is it a shift lever you are asking about? If so it's most likely from the old Exage line that had a 100, 200, 300, 400, and 500 level group. Then they had 105, 600 and Dura-Ace. That is about early 90's or so. You can always send an email to Shimano America. They have always been good about replying to any questions I asked them, but they were usually repair or parts info requests from a shop I work at, but give it a try.
