Black crankwheels for Dura-Ace(6 posts)

Black crankwheels for Dura-Aceanzoni

Sorry for the word crankwheel, but I can't remember the right word for it. I've seen some pros have a black outerwheel on the crank, instead of the matte looking original grey Dura-Ace. Anyone knows who make them (Adresses)?
I think this may look better than a plain Shimano one.

Some of them may be using a carbon crankset from another manufacturer. I am not sure that Shimano would anodize their cranks, even for the pros, but I do know they don't offer the Dura-Ace cranks in black for consumers.

I thought the poster was asking about the actual cranks being black. So I assumed Carbon cranks... chainrings never crossed my mind....

Sorry for the confusion.

Both TA and FSA make black chainrings that fit Shimano. nmDave Hickey
