|If anyone anywhere on this planet has a pair of size 700D tires (for an old GT tandem) that are in decent condition please contact me. Thanks---- If I can find some of these, I can probably also find the Holy Grail.... I have already tried Sheldon Brown's website (which was very helpful and complete, by the way)|

|I don't have a J&B catalogue available to me, but that's the supplier that I used to use for stuff like that.
Another possibility might be to trial fit a pair of 26" mountain bike rims and see how the brakes line up. If they'll work, and I suspect they will, that would permanently solve your tire sourcing problem. That's what I'd do if it was my bike.

|we tried both 700c wheels and 26" mtn. rims. Neither will work since the brake mounting posts are welded onto the frame such that NO type of brake will line up with the different rims. And there appears to be absolutely NO tires available anywhere on the planet for a 700D rim.
Its the biggest joke Ive ever seen...."700D" wheels....mustve been a French idea....
Thanks for the reply--
