| Silca pump heads | DougSloan Mar 27, 2003 9:41 AM | | I want to thank whoever a while back made the comment about making Silca pump heads work by wiggling them back a little to sort of lock them on the stem. I had tried Silca before, but they always popped off when the pressure went up.
I have 4 perfectly good floor pumps, but all the heads when bad; with 3 of the Topeaks, they all either broke the levers off or an internal gasket broke and leaked air. I replaced them with Silca heads, and they work fine, now that I tried the wiggle technique. I even find the Silca head works for a 180 psi tubular, which I never thought it would.
So, thanks again.
