|   How do speedplay Frogs compare with Speedplay road? | wolfereeno
Mar 27, 2003 9:13 AM | | I have speedplay x3's and love the feel when riding. But I can't stand walking on them anymore. I've got the little coffee caps but still almost slid down a full flight of marble stairs the other day.
How do the Frogs compare in terms of feel? I've also been considering the new shimano road pedal...

I use both X2 and Frog pedals with the appropriate shoes. I install the pedals/wear the shoes depending on what kind of ride is coming up. A social ride where there are stops for coffee, food etc, that involves walking more than a little bit, the Frogs come on. If it's just a pure ride, the the x2's are used |

Mar 27, 2003 6:12 PM | | ....but you WILL NOT be able to walk without damaging the cleat and/or falling on your butt. SIDI sells a 'thing' that's almost like a lug that surrounds the cleat on the left and right, that allows you to walk using the Frog cleats on the road shoes. |
