|Grease and Carbon Fibre||Kjull|

|I've heard that carbon fibre seatpost should not be installed using grease in the seat tube. Is that valid only for carbon fibre frames or Alu frames as well, and why?
Just mounted an Look HSC3 on my road bike, and as I was setting in the head bearing with grease I started wondering if any of the contents in the gease could possibly harm the Carbon Fibre material?
(I've heard that shou polish containing Silocone will harm the treads of leader shoes, so I wondered if anything similar could happen)

|I believe the reason for NOT using grease on a carbon fiber seatpost is so it WON'T slip. That would hold true regardless what the frame is made of.
I don't believe that limited contact with grease will hurt carbon fiber.

|Best 2 avoid silicone based grease really, and go for something with PTFE in it instead, such as Exus blue, NOT YELLOW!!!
