Someone recently mentioned that Am Classic uses Zipp rims on some of their products. I was considering the purchase of a Zipp 404 rear wheel but I don't have that much money to spend. I was wondering if Am Classic has a wheel that uses the 404 rim. I looked at their web site but couldn't determine if they had a comparable wheel.

I seroiusly doubt they are using the same rim as the Zipp as Zipp claims (last I heard)to make theirs in house and I am pretty sure the American Classic rims come from overseas.

But here's the link for the American Classic Carbons...

I would email Jayson at American Classic and tell him what your body type is, what your riding style is, and what you are looking for out of your wheels, and ask him what he would recommend for you. They are super cool people. I recently got a set of 420's from them, and have nothing negative to say about their wheels.

Yes, there are REALLY Zipp rims. Amrican Classic has been using Zipp rims for their carbon wheels since the early 90's. Their aluminum rims come from Taiwan. The carbons are made in Zipp's factory and are the exact same.
Confirmed - They are Zipp rims nmsuperdog
