Flight Deck Compatibility with ST7700 shifters?El Kabong

I've got DA shifters -- just the 7700, not the 7700C. Are they completely incompatible with the Flight Deck, or just not optimal? Thanks for any info.

I went through this last summer when I bought a DA group. The shifters on the 7700 aren't set up for the integrated wirng harness of the flightdeck so you won't have the buttons on the shifter hoods, no gearing display, or virtual cadence, and still have to pay the high cost of a Flightdeck system.

Get something else that has auto start (major FD deficiency)without the cost.

The gear indicator and virtual cadence functions won't work with those shifters so what's the point?
