Pinarello Headset Question(3 posts)

Pinarello Headset QuestionTWD

Anybody know what type of headset is used on the Pinarello Galileo?

The Pinarello website says the fork is an "1" 1/8 integral system".

Does that means it's ov the hidden-set variety where a cup gets pressed into the frame but the headset it interal to the headtube, or is this the variety where the bearings rest directly against the aluminum head tube?

Thanks

I looked into this frame as well and was told it is a headset made for Pinarello not compatible with Campy or Cane Creek standards. Not sure about the cups but the two integrated hs's I have (FSA & Campy) both use cups.

I would check with www.cbike.com or Competitive Cyclist I received answers to my ?'s from both.

I didn't buy the frame though. Went with a Ridley for better fit and lower $.
