|not that they're bad but any rim I tried was hard to mount tire on. Mavic rims have groove in the middle Sun's don't so if you use thick tape you would have trouble to put tire on.
weightwise ME14A and DS-1 I've weighted were pretty close to claimed. Way back Sun pinned rims had problems, welded ones are plenty strong, light and durable; cheaper too.
if you go for it I'd suggest to use thin rim strip, pref PVC good luck.

|Mine were quite a bit lighter than advertised. But the rear rim developed cracks around the eyelets after one year. Perhaps I got a lighter than normal sample (new extrusion die??) and that contributed to the cracking.
In their defense, I tend to build my wheels with the max allowable tension, and this is somewhat to be expected. I would use them again. -Dave
