How good is my LeMond Nevada City frame ?t-moore

I got a sweet deal on the bike last year. I bought it new for $350.00. I'm 6'4" and weigh 240lbs. So I am not speed racer, but in the future would this frame be worth upgrading to 105/Ultegra 9 speed components.

Thanks...Tim

The ones with the 853 front trialngle were ok. Current models took a step down to reynolds 520.
Do the 2001's have the 853 front triangle ??t-moore

The front triangle on '01's are definitely 853. I had one for awhile. It's a nice bike, and well worth upgrading. It had the same frame (but different fork) as the Buenos Aires.

If that frame fits you well and rides good, 105, Ultegera or a mix of both would be a good investment. I highly doubt that It's got 853 on the main front triangle but big deal. For what you paid it's a lot of bike. Who's to say you can't transfer those parts to another frame anyway?
Thanks for the responses..t-moore

I bought a new hybrid in Sept, this LeMond early Dec, and love riding. I never would have quessed it. It had been well over 20 yrs since I had been on a bike.

On my morning ride, my tripometer read 2000mi.
Thanks again I enjoy this board...
