Cycle computer(4 posts)

Cycle computerCalle

Hi

I just bought Shimano cycle computer, Flightdeck. When i mounted it I wanted the computer to be infront of the stem (ITM Millenium), but since the "arm" is to short it's not possible.

I have seen e.g. Eurosport that the prof have the computers in front of the stem or at the bar.

I wonder if someone knows if Shimano or other company have a longer arm that will make the computer be in front of the stem?!

Thanks

Sincerely,
Carl

How do you have it set up? Can't you just attach the arm to the bar, placing it in front of the stem? I don't get your problem...

Hi

I want to get the computer in front of th bar, now it's right above it. I think Campas computer, can be mounted in front of the bar beacuse the arm i longer.

The arm on the shimano is to short, so the computer can not mounted in front of the bar and stem so that you get a line. I can mount i more to the right but then it just takes place.

Hope this makes it clearer

I've had two mounting brackets. My original mount was too short also. The next year I switched to the 31.7 mm handlebars and had to special order a new mounting bracket. The new bracket was much longer and works fine. BTW, the new bracket did not fit my old mount and I had to file it down to get it to work.
