Do intergrated headsets require integrated type forks?kamss

hi all...i'm looking into buying a used frame with an integrated headset (columbus 1 1/8" intergrated, to be exact). i needed to know if these frames with integrated headsets required "integrated " forks (the ones with the wider crown). i think it wouldn't be a problem to run a normal fork, and that the integrated forks only would be more asthetic, with smoother lines between the frame and fork. am i right?
thanks in advance.

... "integrated" forks offer a better aesthetic look... but aren't necessary.
