|but only part of it! Current rear spacing on a road bike is 130mm and front spacing is 100mm. It's the knobby-tired brethren that have the 135mm spaced rear ends. And yes, Campy and Shimano have the same 130mm rear hubs.|

|Thanks and that was actually a typo... I was thinking about mountain hubs being 135 as I was typing that I must have let my fingers wander...
130 road rear is what I meant.

|Alot of late road 7 speed had 130 spacing.Makers were still selling 7 speed after the introduction of 8 speed, and frames for both were standardized,at 130.|

|I'm pretty sure that the Shimano 7 speed road hubs were 126 and I know that the Campy road hubs were (freewheel and the rare cassette). If you know of a hub, please let me know so that I can start eating some crow.
Come to think of it, there were some late MTN bike 7 speed cassette hubs that were 130mm.

|Sovos and Joytech made some 130 7-speed that were for hybrids that were 700 rims. There were some lower line Shimano that were 7 sp 130 wide.|
