|My %@#$% Shimano brake levers rattle with every lttle bump in the road and it's driving me @%^#% nuts!
They are BLR600 Dura Ace non-STI levers. The problem seems to be related to cable tension-but you can only tighten them so much before pads hit the rims.
Fixing bolts are tightened properly. Any ideas? (Besides get Campy!-thanks) I'm thinking of maybe getting DA STIs-will these rattle and then fall apart in 6 months?

|I have these on one bike and have the same problem--had the same problem with RX100 levers as well. I was recently told that if you remove the plastic inserts that you see at the top inside of each lever, the noise goes away.
I haven't done that yet, and may not--instead, I may put some plastic goop in there to immobilize them.
