Does anyone know where the new Thomson Masterpiece Seatpost can be purchased? Has anyone used it and if so, what is your opinion. Thanks!

I haven't used one, but I did ask Thomson a few questions. Whenever they do finally come out, it'll be only the road version which is 240mm length, 10mm shorter than the Elite Road. Colorado Cyclist has them backordered and with a $139.95 price-ouch! They appear to be exactly like the Elite, but slightly lighter at 154g, about 30 grams under the Elite . From where I sit, it's not worth it. I'm quite happy with the Elite at least for now.
Its a lot more than $1 per gram to upgradeFez

I use the Elite road and I think its 180-200 grams. I hear the Masterpiece is 155g (unconfirmed). I think the weight savings are mainly due to reduced post length and further machining of the aluminum. Still, it costs at least $60 more than the Elite. And the Elite is a pretty damn good seatpost.

The weight savings is pretty neglible. I think they just wanted a post that could weigh as little as Ti or Carbon. But they created one that is also more expensive.
