Dura Ace BB install questionMudman

What tools are need to install a Dura Ace bottom bracket. 68mm x 109.6 (double chain ring crank). Some sites say Park BBT-2 and BBT-7 (BB 7700), and other claim only the BBT-2 (BB 7703) is needed via Park tools.

Some online retailers have the reverse posted. Can someone validate please. TIA

You'll need the BBT-2 and BBT-7 to install your BB7700. Look up the data sheet on Shimano Europe website.

The BB7703 bottom bracket is the cartridge type for the DA triple which is installed in a similar way as the Ultegra BB.

It says you need the BBT-2 and BBT-7 right in the instructions. I need to go buy a second tool myself as I am doing the same thing. Thanks

Those are the tools for the spline, and the lockring... you need both.
You can use a standard lockring tool in a pinch, but I wouldn't recommend it. The lockring is a fairly soft aluminium, not steel like lockrings of old. It will deform pretty quick unless you grab it at the 5 points the BBT-7 grabs it at.
