|Current post has too much offset so want to get a cost effective but quality replacement. Can anyone confirm my assumption that a Syncros road post is the exact same as their mtb post, only shorter?

|I like there stuff an have one on my road bike now.
If you cant find a syncros then go for a thompson.
If thompson is out of your price range ($80.00)then check out the profomance brand "forte comp" for $20.00.
Hope this helps you - good luck, fellow non-layed back seat post rider!

|yes, sort of. Syncros was purchased by GT which was purchased by whoever. Regardless ,great posts. Have a Al on my MTB and have a 27.2 Carbon sitting in my Garage (running Campy Ti on my road bike) it's the same but shorter. Has the same great head and adjustments|

|GT, Schwinn, Mongoose Pro, they are all owned by Pacific.
It is my understanding that the stuff you can still find from Syncros is back stock that wasn't sold. From what I know they haven't made anything new in 3 years. But I could be wrong on this, as this is just what I have heard, but I have never looked into it.
