|Ksyrium SSC SL Spoke Protector rubbing||texsun|

According to Mavic I'm supposed to use the spoke protector with the Ksyrium SL's. If I use the spoke protector and tighten my cassette...there is noticable resistance (drag) on the spoke protector. If I loosen the lock ring for the cassette so there isn't drag on the spoke protector ther is play in my cassette.
I'm using a Shimano cassette so I am using the spacer per Mavic's instructions. Any ideas on what's going on? Help!

|I am not sure about the protector itself, as I usually take them off. I did this with my Ksyriums, anyways. With proper limit screw adjustment, you really should not need one in the first place. Make sure you keep the spacer, tough.|

|When I put my Ksyriums on last year I took the spoke protector off and see no need for it at all. Using Shimano 12-25 cassette.|| |
