|If you live near a larger city (sf bay area) you might try craigslist.com and look under bicycle postings.I also had a little luck a a local flea market.|
|What size?(27" or 700c)-What spacing?(126 or 130)||zmarke|

|I have actually had great luck buying (machine built) wheels from Nashbar. I put on the rim tape myself since it only takes a few minutes, I ride them for a few weeks, and then take them to my LBS to have them trued.
Ukai 20A / Sora Road Wheelset / 36h
Mavic CXP21/Shimano 2200 Road Wheels/32h
Sun Assault / Tiagra Road Wheelset/32h
I actually purchase the Sun Assault set last year when they came with Shimano 105 hubs. They have been great and I use them for weekend rides and centuries.
If you want really cheap, eBay is the way to go.
